Retraction

In this interview we state that the Women's Hockey "no checking" rule change occurred in 2006, but it appears it may have happened earlier than that. It looks like it was a result of Canada beating Japan 18-0 in the Women's World Hockey Championships in 1990. The idea is that if players are beaten down that aggressively they won't feel as inspired to continue to play.
